Smart Phone Safety for First Time Phone Owners
Skills for Young Learners
Cell phones are designed to improve our lives but they also can cause serious problems if used uncontrolled. This mini-course gives your later year elementary and early year middle school student a guide to find the right balance in consideration of the norms of smartphone technology.
We introduce some topics for critical thinking that can help teach them responsibility. Ultimately, the goal is to teach them to be aware of challenges and start helping them make good decisions in the future.
Young students have an average attention span of 10 to 20 minutes when concentrated on one topic. Our mini-courses for young students consider this in the design and provide information that they can effectively process and use in that time frame. This leads to more learning retention and a higher chance of application of the information acquired.
